How to Solve the Doll Puzzle in Resident Evil Village: Shadows of Rose

Recommended Videos

Resident Evil is famous for its puzzles required to solve in order to progress through the main story. The recent DLC Shadows of Rose for Resident Evil Village is no different. Some of these puzzles are even more complex than provided in the initial game and can create a roadblock of frustration. One of the more confusing puzzles is the Doll Puzzle, which starts in the Workshop in the House of Benevento. If you are having trouble solving this puzzle, don’t worry, as we will give you a thorough walkthrough on how to complete the doll puzzle in Shadows of Rose.

How to Solve the Doll Puzzle in the Workshop

The puzzle starts when you have found the scissor, cut open the teddy bear in the Workshop room, and received the door statue. Once you get that out of the way, the puzzle will begin with a note stating that you need to light the campfire. Below are the 14 steps to light the campfire with the dolls you’ll find around this area.

  • Step 1: Grab the Lucy doll on the table left of the main table in the Workshop.
  • Step 2: Turn around, head through the double doors, and continue down the hallway until you reach the door on the left, and use the “Relief of a Child” piece from the teddy bear.
  • Step 3: Grab the Catherine doll on the table in this room.
  • Step 4: Go back to the Workshop and through the door on the left.
  • Step 5: Place Lucy and Catherine on the correct pedestals (each pedestal has their name) and grab them once the drawer opens, you are going to need them later.
  • Step 6: Grab the red key from the drawer.
  • Step 7: Go through Jimmy’s room on the opposite side of the Workshop by using the key.
  • Step 8: Progress through, use your power on the flower and go down the well.
  • Step 9: Grab the Jimmy doll at the bottom of the well.
  • Step 10: Head back to the Storage Room you originally grabbed Catherine from.
  • Step 11: put Catherine on the pedestal closest to you, Jimmy on the pedestal with the present, and Lucy on the pedestal up top.
  • Step 12: Grab all the dolls, including the black hair doll from the drawer, and head back to the Workshop.
  • Step 13: Put the black-haired doll on the right pedestal, Lucy on the left pedestal, Catherine on the back left pedestal, and Jimmy on the back right pedestal.
  • Step 14: Grab the key on the table as a reward.
