80% of PS3 Connected to PSN

by | @AttackFanboy | on January 27, 2011

Amidst all of NGP news and cloud computing talks and Sony’s glowing future, the company also released updated numbers for the PlayStation Network on PS3.  There are 69 million PSN accounts on the network as of January 25th 2011.  10 of them are registered in my household, but the 79.99999% of the consoles are registered to the network and connected to the net in some shape form or fashion.

With the NGP obviously centered around a networking experience judging by many of the topics discussed at the meeting and the built in features of the device, it’s likely that number will continue to snowball especially if it remains free to sign up as many times as you wish.
