If you live in Japan or Western countries, you will be getting different collector’s editions for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The Asian region is however getting every version possible.
Konami Asia has updated its website where it includes every collector’s edition for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. They get to choose to which version they want to buy.
Konami Asia announced:
“The Asian region will be getting Japanese (Special + Premium) and English (Collector’s) Editions of the upcoming METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN (MGSV:TPP) for PS4 and PS3 starting September 2nd 2015!”
Western gamers only receive the Collector’s Edition that includes a half-scale replica of Big Boss’ bionic arm. The Japanese special editions receive some other cool stuff that Westerners don’t get. This includes a full scale replica of the Big Boss bionic arm and also an art book.
For Asian gamers though, the special editions for Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain will only be available for the PS4 and PS3 platforms. No Xbox-related versions were revealed on Konami Asia’s website.
It’s pretty funny how Asian gamers get a choice on which Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Collector’s Edition they want. While Japanese and Western gamers have to settle for the versions Konami allocated for them…
