Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3, Crysis 2 Among Most Pirated Games

by | @AttackFanboy | on January 1, 2012

2011 is behind us, and the yearly breakdown of BitTorrent traffic of the most pirated software of the year has been released. As expected, the most popular games of 2011 are among the most pirated titles of the year. PC Games once again take the cake when it comes to the most pirated versions, and the top three most pirated games were shooters. Apparently the early Crysis 2 leak led to a bit of double dipping for pirates with Crysis 2 being the most pirated title at almost 4 million times.

Piracy of the biggest games on the Wii and Xbox 360 looked fairly mild compared to their PC counterparts, and piracy on the PS3 was fairly non-existent as TorrentFreak said there were “considerably less” downloads than their counterparts.

According to TorrentFreak
