Battlefield 4 getting microtransaction Battlepacks

DICE is now offering Battlefield 4 Battlepacks as microtransactions in the shooter. The packs which bundle a number items, which include accessories, emblems, profile pics, dog tags, XP boosts, knoves, and skins, will be available on Origin, the Xbox Store, and PlayStation Store.

Usually earned by progressing through the leveling system in Battlefield 4, these packs will be available in three tiers, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Bronze Packs will cost $1, Silver $2, and Gold $3.

“Battlepacks can still be earned through normal gameplay progressions, but we are now giving players the option to purchase Battlepacks as a shortcut to catch up with their friends on the Battlefield,” reads a post on the Official Battlefield Blog.

With so much angst still lingering by the Battlefield Community, many are understandably voicing their outrage at this new initiative, claiming that the game is still broken in many regards.
