The highly anticipated horror game, The Evil Within, due for release across North America mid October, is getting its own off site community event at this year’s PAX Prime. PAX is to be held in Seattle starting August 29th through to September 1st and is one of the biggest gaming events on the calendar. Bethesda are known for hosting off site events as they have done so in the past with games like Dishonored, The Elder Scrolls Online and Wolfenstein : The New Order. The spirit of their community event this year is to engage their fans by reducing as many people as possible to an inaudible whimper with ‘The Evil Within Experience‘.
The Evil Within Experience will be held from 8pm – midnight on the Saturday as PAX Prime winds down for the day. Adding to the atmosphere is the location, ‘The White Room’ in the historic Seattle Undergound, which is going to be prepared with plenty of scare factor by Bethesda and iam8bit. It’s only a short 20 minutes walk from the PAX exhibit hall; the walk back may feel longer even if you are walking faster, depending on your terror tolerance.
There’ll be plenty of opportunity to get an early play of The Evil Within, refresh with some food and drink, and scare the heck out of yourself. As an added bonus, the first 700 attendees to the event will receive an exclusive PAX The Evil Within T-Shirt. Something to commemorate the permanent psychological damage awesome and promised-to-be-terrifying experience. This community event is open for fans 18 years or older, with entry being on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you’re 21 or older, you can even have a drink with them at Doc’s, which is practically next door to the location.
