This morning Gearbox’s Randy Pitchford took to Twitter and teased that another round of Borderlands 2 DLC is in the works. This new batch of DLC may include a new sixth playable character class as well as a raise on the current level cap.
Pitchford went on to say that theses new DLC components would be completely separate from any additional campaign DLC that may currently be in development. According to Pitchford “these things” are being worked on by Gearbox. Borderlands 2 has already seen a healthy amount of DLC released for their acclaimed RPG/shooter hybrid. Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage, and Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt have all expanded the Borderlands 2 universe and players would love to see a further robust expansion of the campaign.
When pressed about the addition of a sixth playable character class, Pitchford wrote,”Almost certainly yes. We’re working on it.” This would be a welcome addition to the five already available classes offered. When asked for more details, Pitchford digressed,  “Sorry I can’t offer more yet – I get skewered when things change in development, whatever the reason.”
