SCEA and SCEE have acknowledged the recent outages of the PlayStation Network. There have been numerous reports by users claiming to have limited ability to access the online network beginning yesterday. Patrick Seybold has taken to the company sounding board where he has updated users of the status change for the PSN.
While we are investigating the cause of the Network outage, we wanted to alert you that it may be a full day or two before we’re able to get the service completely back up and running. Thank you very much for your patience while we work to resolve this matter. Please stay tuned to this space for more details, and we’ll update you again as soon as we can.
Hopefully all is well and we’ll be up and slaughtering Helghan grunts in mere hours. Â Although some have posed the question: Â Is this the work of Anonymous? Â According to sources, Anonymous is taking no credit for these recent outages. Â Claiming that “we are NOT attacking Sony, PSN, or any Sony sites. Â PSN is down because of Sony NOT because of Anon. Â Our DDoS attacks on Sony have stopped.”
