Crysis 2: The Benchmark for 3D Gaming

by | @AttackFanboy | on January 13, 2011

Cevat Yerli, the CEO of Crytek recently went on the record about the 3D technology in Crysis 2.  The CEO spoke on the technology in Crysis 2 in a recent interview with EDGE magazine where he detailed the trials and tribulations of his company in trying to achieve the “benchmark” 3D experience for any medium.  The developer goes on the record as saying very clearly he believes that Crysis 2 rivals the status of James Cameron’s Avatar which brought 3D wholeheartedly into the eyes of 100’s of millions if not more entertainment consumers.

This benchmark 3D implementation will be made available for all eyes to feast on come March 22nd when the game is scheduled for release.
