Final Fantasy XV Is Over Halfway From Being Completed

by Damian Seeto

Final Fantasy XV has been in development for a long time, and Square Enix has now revealed that 60 percent of the game is finished.

Hajime Tabata announced this during the latest Active Time Report that was held earlier this week. The development for Final Fantasy XV is at the 60 percent mark. Tabata mentioned a lot of progress has been made to the game’s systems.

Tabata is hopeful that 80 percent of Final Fantasy XV’s development could be done very soon. However, Square Enix thinks it’s still too early to announce a definite release schedule for the game. Unlike some games, Final Fantasy XV never had a release year. People don’t know if it will be out in 2015 or even 2016.

One has to wonder what Square Enix was working on back in 2006 when the game was first announced. Back then, it was known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII and was supposed to be a PS3 exclusive. After many years of nothing, they renamed the game Final Fantasy XV and progress is finally being made.

As you all know now, Final Fantasy XV will come out for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. It will be a monumental day when the game finally comes out. Fans have been waiting for this game for nearly a decade now.
