Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series Releasing Soon, Will Have Six Episodes

Telltale Games has revealed that their upcoming game Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series will release its first episode “soon”. The episode seems to be titled “Iron from Ice”, which has been a sort-of tagline for the series as it moved slowly toward launch. In a departure from Telltale’s usual release schedule, Game of Thrones will feature a total of six episodes in contrast to the usual five.

Not much has been revealed about the story contained in the Game of Thrones game. We know that it will take place some time within the normal story from the books and show. It seems like it will take place mostly in the North, with many speculating that you will be assisting Stannis Baratheon in some way. We also know that the relatively unknown House Forrester seems to play some key role in the events.

How soon will the episode hit is the big question left after this announcement. All that we knew previously was that the series would premiere before the end of the year. With this announcement we can assume that it will likely be before the end of the month. Telltale usually follows a formula with these releases, and the teaser will often come only a week or two before the final launch.
