Get a free Hardened Edition of Modern Warfare 3*

by | @AttackFanboy | on August 3, 2011

* Offer applies to those that are heading out to Los Angeles this September for the first annual Call of Duty XP Event.  The first event of its kind for the franchise will kick off in Play Vista, California one month from now and will celebrate all things Call of Duty.  The event will also double as the first unveiling of Modern Warfare 3 and its various features.  To sweeten the pot for those heading out to California, Activision has just announced that all convention goers will get a free copy of the Hardened Edition of Modern Warfare 3.

Tickets will run you $150 a pop, and included in that price of admission are wide array of Call of Duty events held at the massive event center.  If you happen to live nearby, and were planning on getting the game anyway, you’ll be getting into the convention on the cheap considering that the game would retail somewhere around $80.

The actual details of what’s to be included in the edition have yet to be announced, but Robert Bowling recently gave us a glimpse of what it would look like when he tweeted one of the game’s boxes.  For more details on what to expect from Call of Duty XP go here.
