Grand Theft Auto V On PS4 And Xbox One Managed To Ship Over 10 Million Copies

Even though Grand Theft Auto V on PS4 and Xbox One is a re-release, it still managed to ship over 10 million copies worldwide.

Take Two Interactive has announced its financial earnings for the last quarter ended December 31st, 2014. Grand Theft Auto V was its biggest performer. The game as a whole has now shipped over 45 million copies worldwide. This is even before the PC version of the game comes out in March.

NBA 2K15 managed to do well too. The game has now shipped over 5.5 million copies from the last quarter. While the Sid Meier’s Civilization series has now shipped over 29 million copies.

Profits for Take Two were up from the same quarter in 2013. Revenue jumped to $954 million compared to the $767 million earned in 2013. Take Two’s net income rose to $211.6 million which is up from the $210.7 million in 2013.

The best selling games from Take Two were Grand Theft Auto V, NBA 2K15, WWE 2K15, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth.

Digital content has been successful for Take Two. A lot of gamers bought DLC for games such as Grand Theft Auto V, the Borderlands series as well as NBA 2K15 and Civilization: Beyond Earth.
