Huge Story Mode Possibly Being Planned For Tekken 7

Bandai Namco sounds like it will be adding some sort of big story mode to Tekken 7 sometime in the future.

Japanese gamers have had a chance to play Tekken 7 at the arcades, although no story element has been added. You just go through 8 stages and then the credits roll. There are no cutscenes or background story given in the arcade version of the game.

Even at the end of the arcade version of Tekken 7, Kazumi (the final boss) just confronts you. She doesn’t say much when you beat her as she falls to the ground and it’s game over after that.

A fan asked Bandai Namco’s Katsuhiro Harada on Twitter if Tekken 7
is to add a story mode in the future. Harada replied: I’m planning a lot. Shh…

The story mode is sure to be included in the console version of Tekken 7. Harada is hesitant to talk about the console version of the game, but we all know it’s coming sometime in the near future.

Harada described in the past that the Tekken 7 story will be “dark“. The story will center around the Mishima family and this game is said to conclude their family feud once and for all. Gamers are pretty nervous as some of their favorite characters could be killed off.
