Kinect Sales in Japan are Dismal

First Images of Kinect Look Familiar

This article is over 14 years old and may contain outdated information

Backstage at Microsoft’s Cirque Du Soleil Pre-E3 event we get our first look at Project Natal, excuse me, what will be known going forward as “Kinect” in the wild.

The build looks strikingly similar to the one seen at D8.  Though the only models seen thus far are the shiny black SKU, one has to wonder whether multiple finishes will be available at retail.

Right now it appears that most of what we had seen leading up to this official reveal has been spot in terms of what the device will look like and its functionality.

We’ll continue to keep an eye on E3 2010 as there’s likely much more to come from Microsoft regarding this mysterious new device.  While this was an event specifically dedicated to the Kinect itself, Microsoft’s press conference should shed more light on the Kinect in the days to come.

Microsoft has not yet revealed when the Kinect will be available for consumers to purchase, nor have the released a price point for it.
