Konami runs into problems with Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes

by William Schwartz

The reveal of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes definitely gave fans of the franchise something to look forward to.  However, it may have landed Konami in hot water, according to reports suggesting that company is asking site’s hosting the video to remove it due to a possible legal conflict.

According to Game Informer, the footage that was revealed at PAX Prime last weekend has a licensing issue with one of the songs used in the footage.  Konami hasn’t said what song they’ve improperly used, and has not said whether or not they will re-release edited footage.

Hopefully, we’ll hear more about this title in the very near future as the first gameplay left a lot of questions unanswered in traditional Metal Gear Solid fashion.  Following the release of the footage, fans have yet to come to a conclusion on just who’s featured in this first trailer.

“Since many people claimed the Snake in FOX was in gray hair, I asked Matsui-kun to take off the goggle. You see, Snake in “MGS Ground Zeroes,” said Kojima via Twitter.

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is rumored for a 2013 release on the PlayStation 3.
