Minecraft Xbox 360 players will be getting another update in the coming weeks, as well as new texture packs for the game. 4J Studios has confirmed that they are finishing up development on Title Update 13, as well as readying the release of new texture packs to download for the game.
Though the developer has tempered expectations for the update, claiming that it’s more or less an update that will fix bugs for the game, rather than introduce new features. The developers say that they will likely have the update pushed into certification in the coming week.
As for the texture packs, 4J Studios says that the wait won’t be much longer for that either. “We have a few different styles of texture packs in development, and the first is close to completion,” the developers recently said via Twitter.
Earlier this month, it was also noted that the studio was looking into bringing PC style texture packs to the Xbox 360. Unfortunately, due to legal reasons, it’s unclear whether that will become a reality or not.
From the sounds of it, look for the next Minecraft Update to release either late in September or October.
