Some unexpected big news has just comes out of PAX over the weekend. Ninja Theory is assisting development for some elements in Disney Infinity 2.0.

This is unexpected news considering Ninja Theory are known to make more mature hack-n-slash titles. They are most famous for Heavenly Sword as well as the DmC: Devil May Cry reboot. The UK developer do make good games, but their involvement in Disney Infinity 2.0 may surprise some people.

Ninja Theory will be bringing their “combat experience” to Disney Infinity 2.0. The characters they will be focusing on are “Loki, Green Goblin, Ronan and Princess Jasmine”. A wide variety of different characters, but all of them should be fun to play.

Disney Infinity 2.0 comes out very soon and adds various Marvel characters to the game for the first time. We can be sure there will be a lot of updates coming to the game in the future as well as more playsets. Adding in Ninja Theory to the resume should make the combat fun and fluid. Their previous work has always been received generally well by most people.

In the meantime, Ninja Theory will still be hard at work at Hellblade which will be out sometime next year.
