On September 29th, the PlayStation Home will recieve a major update.  In version 1.55, a brand new experience is set to be dispersed to the network which features a brand new start-up interface, a wardrobe and furniture browser, as well as many general improvements to the service.

Once the patch goes live, you’ll be prompted to download and apply the patch on your next login to Home. Though Sony does note, “if you are upgrading from an old version of the program (1.40 or earlier) then when you attempt to apply the 1.55 patch please wait for the orange hard drive activity light to stop flashing on your PS3 before commencing the patching process”.

Alongside the improvements, there will also be new games, spaces, and items that will be available at launch.  For the full rundown of the feature set included in the update, hit the PlayStation Blog for more info (link below).
