Nintendo just opened a brand new online store totally dedicated to Pokemon merchandise. It is called the Pokemon Center, and you can get anything from stuffed Pikachus to Charizard mugs, and pretty much anything else Pokemon related that you can think of. To celebrate this momentous occasion Nintendo is also releasing a special event Pokemon exclusively in North America which you can download to your copy of Pokemon X and/or Pokemon Y.Â
You can get a special Poké Ball Pattern Vivillon for your Pokémon X and Pokémon Y game via the Nintendo Network
The special event Pokemon is a Vivillon that features a special color pattern fashioned after the series’ iconic Pokè Balls. This version of the butterfly Pokemon was offered once before, but only in France and only for a very limited time. That makes this a very rare form of the breed, making it extremely valuable for trade once the promotion ends.
There have been many other variations on Vivillon’s color pattern, some of which are highly sought after by collectors through the in-game trading system. 18 versions of Vivillon can be found in the wild while playing Pokemon X & Y, with a 19th variation being made available during an earlier special event.
The special Pokè Ball themed Vivillon will only be available until August 12th via the in-game Mystery Gift option. You will, of course, need to have a Nintendo Network ID and have your 3DS setup for internet access. To obtain your special Vivillon simply follow these directions:
1. Connect your Nintendo 3DS system to the Internet.
2. Select Mystery Gift on the main menu.
3. Select Receive Gift, then Yes.
4. Select Get Via Internet, then Yes.
5. Watch as you receive Poké Ball Pattern Vivillon!
6. Speak to the delivery girl in any Pokémon Center to receive your Vivillon.
7. Remember to save your game!
Pokemon X & Y are available now for Nintendo 3DS, Pokemon Alpha Sapphire & Omega Ruby will be released in Novemeber.
