Thief 4 is currently in development at Eidos Montreal, announced a little over three years ago, it had been assumed that the game would arrive on current gen consoles.  A new report from the Official Xbox Magazine suggests that development has shifted from the Xbox 360 and PS3 to the Xbox 720 and PS4.

Back in January of this year, a developer resume suggested numerous features coming in Thief 4 which included online functionality and Unreal support.

It’s worth noting that Eidos Montreal is the developer also responsible for the Deus Ex franchise.  This report also coincides with job listings that point to a next-gen action title that was discovered back in May.  Square Enix has not commented on these rumors, and they come from the “rumors” section of the magazine.
