Rory McIlroy PGA Tour Game Missing Huge Golf Tournament

Rory McIlory PGA Tour the video game is due out later this year, however it will be missing a major golf tournament.

Pasta Padre asked EA Sports if the Augusta National will be a part of Rory McIlory PGA Tour this year. EA Sports tweeted: “Unfortunately our license with Augusta National has expired. However, we’ll continue to explore opportunities to include it.”

For those that don’t know, the Augusta National is one of the most major golf tournaments of the entire year. It’s quite sad that Rory McIlroy PGA Tour will not have this tournament in the game. This is like a tennis game without one of the four Grand Slams.

EA Sports hasn’t closed the door on adding the Augusta National in the future. We might see the tournament in Rory McIlroy PGA Tour as DLC if EA Sports can get the license again.

EA Sports said: “We have the ability to add content (including new courses) post-launch and we’re exploring that option for Augusta.

The Augusta National was one of the big drawing cards for the Tiger Woods PGA Tour games. It’s quite disappointing fans won’t get to play it in Rory McIlroy PGA Tour this year. The game comes out this June for the PS4 and Xbox One.
