Rumor: Microsoft To Release New 1TB Xbox One Console

by | @jblrules316 | on May 9, 2015

Xbox One

It looks like Microsoft is set to release a new Xbox One console SKU that features a 1TB hard drive.

The new 1TB Xbox One console has been listed by Spanish retailer, Lamee Software. It’s pretty much just the basic bundle with the console itself and one controller. The only difference is that it includes a 1TB hard drive instead of just the 500GB hard drive we’ve already received.

According to Lamee Software, this 1TB Xbox One console has a release date of June 23rd, 2015. This could mean the console could be announced at E3. Last year, Microsoft announced it was dropping the Kinect and that standalone console was available not too long after E3 happened.

The price for this 1TB Xbox One console has been listed as 449.99 Euros. A bit more expensive than the standalone 500GB model. The 500GB model usually comes with a free game or two and retails for 399 Euros.

This wouldn’t be the first time that Microsoft releases a 1TB Xbox One console. The company released the special Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Xbox One console last year. That too included a 1TB hard drive.

It will be interesting to see if this new Xbox One SKU turns out to be true. We’ll just have to wait and see come E3 2015.
