One of the franchises that was not listed in any of the official announcements following the sale of THQ’s assets is the WWE wrestling franchise. It appears that the franchise will live on, and Take Two will be at the helm of WWE going forward.

IGN is reporting that the deal is yet to be finalized, but Take Two and 2K Sports will be the ones that wind up with the popular *fake sports series.

This news comes on the heels of THQ Studios being sold to various parties. Popular franchises like Saints Row, Company of Heroes, South Park, and others will all have new homes going forward, while THQ has been dissolved.

Expect an official announcement from Take Two in the near future.
