With the release of Gran Turismo 6 just around the corner, and Sony’s need to push consumers towards their PS Vita handheld, some thought that at PS Vita version of Gran Turismo 6 could be in the cards. Â This weekend, Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida explained that this is unlikely due to it being “really hard”.
In an interview with IGN, the often sleepy Yoshida explained: Â “The PS Vita is a very powerful portable system, but not quite as powerful as PS3. Â As you can tell looking at GT6, it really is using PS3 to a very high level. Â So it’s going to be really hard to move GT6 onto PS Vita.”
But while Yoshida is ruling a full native version of the game on the PS Vita, the game could arrive via the streaming options that Sony announced earlier this year. Â Sony announced that PS4 games would be playable on the PS Vita via Gaikai streaming, but, we’re gonna need to have a PS4 version of GT6.
Polyphony has mentioned it recently, and this next-gen version of the game might be the only way Vita owners end up playing Gran Turismo, at least in the near future.
