Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series Episode 2 “Under Pressure” finally has an official release date. Players will be able to jump back into the world of Starlord, Groot, Rocket, and all the rest on June 6th for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile. The episode will likely pick up right where the last one left off, with the action kicking into high gear for the Guardians. See our review of that episode right here.
“In “Under Pressure,” the Guardians just can’t seem to outrun the past (or their tab), but if they figure out how to control the untold power of their mysterious new relic, they might not have to,” explains Telltale. “With help from dubious old friends and unwilling new allies, Star-Lord and company scour the galaxy for answers. But how long can they elude the genocidal maniac hunting them? And will simmering tensions finally tear the team apart?”
What else could Episode 2 explore? According to this announcement it seems like it might delve into the past of Rocket Raccoon, the team’s resident tech expert. The movies have avoided this character’s backstory so far, with only passing mention of what might have created such a unique and interesting creature.
Telltale has stepped up their release dates as of late, not going much more than a month for most new episodes. With three episodes left in this series after this release, hopefully they can keep it up. Check out Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series Episode 2 when it hits on June 6th.
