With the Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception Multiplayer Subway promotion in full swing, many fans have had an early look at the game. Those that play alot of multiplayer games will find that Naughty Dog is overlooking the traditional measure of success, the Kill/Death Ratio.
The developer, who also opened a new web portal where gamers can track their Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Statistics, also lacks the use of this important statistic. As players have begun to see this lack of the important statistic. Arne Meyer of Naughty Dog has reassured fans, that not only is this not an oversight, but a purposeful action by the developer to keep players focused on the objectives of the game’s multiplayer.
“We’re not showing Kill/Death Ration on any of our online stats,”said Meyer. “It encourages breaking the spirit of the game. So we’re taking a hard line on this to see if it has any effect… A graph or spread should give you all the info you would want. If you really want your ration, take the time to break out the calculator.”
Hopefully this stance works out for Uncharted 3 and Naughty Dog. Drake’s Deception launches on November 1st, exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
