In a rumor that sounds more science fiction than anything, a recent report suggests that the Sony's NGP (PSP2) can play PS3 games remotely. Due to release this year, the NGP has plenty of features that were highlighted at the Sony Conference in Tokyo last week.
The NGP: is going to have a ton of first party support when it releases later this year. At the PlayStation Conference it was unveiled that Uncharted, Killzone, and Resistance the big three feathers in Sony's cap will be all have an offering for the device.
Hideo Kojima eluded to the fact that playing on the NGP makes for a PS3 like experience, and the new handheld has the horsepower under the hood to back up those claims. The multi-core GPU is said to be "4x as powerful as any portable we've previously seen".
It was reported yesterday that the PSP2 may get a launch date and reveal come January 27th. MCV announced this rumor backed by a "legitimate source" but even more interesting is last year's article from IGN which rumors the device to be as powerful as the PS3.
