2K Sports has given some detail as to what the graphics might look like for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of WWE 2K15.
Many media outlets had a chance to look at the character models for WWE 2K15. Most of what they have seen were from the newer PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. Some fans were worried the graphics in the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions would stay the same.
WWE 2K15’s Community Manager, Jared Rea, gave his take on what the last-gen graphics will look like:
“It definitely doesn’t look anything like that. A new lighting engine doesn’t mean we just cranked up the contrast, it changes the look of the entire game and gives it a much more natural tone. It’s not a massive leap, but it goes a long way to making it appear more like what you’re seeing on television.”
His comment was in response to another forum user saying WWE 2K15 would only have “new lighting” for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. From what I can tell from Rea’s response, the lighting helps make the game look more realistic. Although his comment about it not being “a massive leap” is a bit concerning.
Hopefully WWE 2K15 looks graphically superior on all systems really. Previous WWE games in recent years have had pretty shoddy visuals. Let’s hope this year the visuals really are on par with the NBA 2K series.
