Akitaka Tohyama has been confirmed to return to compose the score that will be featured in the upcoming Tekken 7 video game.

Tekken 7’s Game Director, Katsuhiro Harada, confirmed this on twitter earlier this week. Harada had nothing but kind words to say about Tohyama and the music he’s already done for the game. It sounds like the music in the upcoming game will sound epic.

Here’s what Harada had to say on twitter about Tohyama’s music in Tekken 7:

“I listened to the new music for TEKKEN 7 by Akitaka Tohyama (@AJURIKA). He is genius, I knew it!! His music will receive high evaluation.”

Tohyama has composed the music for Tekken games for a very long time. He’s composed the music in Tekken 4, Tekken 5, Tekken 6 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. If you are a long time fan of the series, you may know the style of music Tohyama usually likes to compose. Judging by Harada’s reaction, it sounds like the music in Tekken 7 will also be awesome.

Tekken 7 was announced this year at EVO 2014 and will be one of 2015’s must have fighting games. It has been teased the game will see the final appearances of both Heihachi and Kazuya Mishima. It sounds like one of them will finally die (for real) this time.
