EA is currently livestreaming multiplayer for Battlefield 1, but thanks to YouTuber jackfrags we can check out some direct feed footage right now. The footage is brief, but it packs a lot in its 2-minute running time.
The video takes us through an intense multiplayer battle that shows off several aspects of the gameplay in Battlefield 1. There’s plenty of ground warfare going on with troops and tanks, but it’s also mixed up with aerial combat that looks very impressive.
It’s the airship that definitely seems to be the big turning point in the multiplayer, as it can be used to turn the tide of the battle quickly. It is controlled by players and can demolish anything it fires at, but what’s even more interesting is what happens when it gets taken out. Once the airship goes down it crashes and explodes on the map and will remain there for the duration of the match, becoming a new obstacle on the battlefield.
Battlefield 1 will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 21st, and you can check out the new multiplayer footage below.
