Even though Battlefield 1 came out earlier than Titanfall 2, the sales over in the UK were better for the former. Did EA make a mistake releasing them together?
As noted by GFK Chart-Track, Battlefield 1 sales dropped by 39 percent. This is softer than the 54 percent drops by the second week sales for Battlefield 3 and 4. This goes to show us how popular the game is right now.
Titanfall 2 was not even in second place as it debuted in fourth position. The report from GFK did not specify specific numbers, but the Xbox One version of the game sold better than the PS4. This is mainly because Titanfall has a built-in audience on Xbox One since the first game wasn’t on PS4.
Even though it’s a remaster, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition made its debut in second place. The PS4 version of the game was the platform of choice over the Xbox One.
FIFA 17 took out third place. UK gamers love football/soccer as sales only declined by 6 percent compared to last week. It’s very likely the game will stay in the top 10 for many weeks.
Other new releases included Farming Simulator 17, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, World of Final Fantasy and Just Dance 2017. They placed number 5, 7, 11 and 26 on the charts respectively.
