Bethesda hosted their very first E3 Showcase in 2015 with the announcement of Fallout 4 headlining a huge lineup of games from the publisher. Everyone wondered if they’d do it again in 2016, with less to announce due to Fallout 4 having hit the year before. They did though, and it was one of the best press conferences at E3 2016. Now they’ve announced that there will be a Bethesda E3 Showcase for 2017, poking fun at Microsoft’s move to Sunday and saying that they’re schedule will remain the same.

“Sunday before E3 getting busy,” reads the tweet. “Imitation IS the sincerest form of flattery. Bethesda E3 Showcase will still be Sunday pm. Details soon!” Bethesda was the first one to push the schedule for E3 press conferences earlier than normal. Usually press conferences were held on Monday and Tuesday, with the actual show being held on Tuesday through Thursday. Bethesda hosted their 2015 E3 Showcase on Sunday and now we have Microsoft moving theirs to that day, and EA going even earlier, with their EA Play conference starting on Saturday.

With confirmation that Bethesda’s E3 Showcase will be held again in 2017, the question changes to what will be revealed. Bethesda has grown immensely as a publisher, releasing huge game after huge game. These last couple of years has seen big releases like DOOM, Fallout 4, and Dishonored 2. Of course, everyone is waiting for a reveal of Elder Scrolls 6, or Skyrim 2 depending on who you ask.

Will they reveal the new installment in the highly anticipated open world RPG? If so, it will likely be a small teaser, rather than the full unveiling that we got with Fallout 4. Bethesda has said over and over that the game is very far off, so don’t expect it to release in 2017 at all, with 2018 being a slim chance. Hopefully the promised details do come soon.
