Burnout Paradise could be added as one of the Xbox 360 games that will be backward compatible to the Xbox One.
Criterion Games tweeted out:
Yes, we ARE talking to Microsoft about making Xbox 360 Burnout Paradise available on Xbox One via backwards-compatibility! More news soon!
As you may know already, the Xbox One will be backwards compatible for numerous Xbox 360 games. An update will be available for everyone by Fall 2015.
Microsoft won’t be able to get every Xbox 360 game available onto the Xbox One’s backward compatibility list. Microsoft already ruled out Xbox 360 Kinect games. They won’t be able to work.
Another barrier Microsoft has to face is get permission from the publisher to make a specific game backwards compatible to the Xbox One. Some publishers and developers may not want their game to work on Xbox One for some reason.
Anyway, it’s great to see that Criterion Games has agreed to it and Burnout Paradise might work on Xbox One soon. Some fans have been asking if Burnout Revenge might be compatible in the future too.
It’s been a long time since fans have been able to play a Burnout game. Making Paradise compatible for the Xbox One is the next best thing.
