Call of Duty: Ghosts, Destiny servers taken offline by hacking group

The hacking group Lizard Squad are apparently at it again, just weeks after taking down the PlayStation Network, the group has set its sights on two popular games from Activision.  Users experiecing issues with Call of Duty: Ghosts and Destiny, may be able to chalk up the issues to a DDOS attack  by group.

Many players are having problems with Destiny and Call of Duty: Ghosts, and complaints have been piling up on social media networks like Twitter, and Reddit.

The game’s don’t appear to have been completely taken down at this point, but many are experiencing problems with connecting across various networks.  Activision Support has yet to issue any formal statement on the outages or connectivity issues as of this time.

Lizard Squad recently made headlines after taking responsibility for the recent PSN downtime.  It’s worth noting that it did take Sony a little while to get everything back to normal on the PlayStation Network, and these games could similar problems over the next few days.
