Deus Ex: Mankind Divided launched last week to very positive reviews, and the game easily reached the top of the UK All Format charts. However, despite the high sales it failed to reach the numbers that were achieved by its predecessor Human Revolution.
The news was reported by GFK Chart-Track, where they claim that Human Revolution had a “much stronger” opening week compared to Mankind Divided, though they also note that it “launched in to a market with close to double the current installed base of the equivalent consoles.” So the lower numbers have more to do with lower installed base rather than decreased interest in the sequel.
Elsewhere in the top 20 charts we have F1 2016 coming in as the runner-up, with No Man’s Sky, Overwatch and Madden NFL 17 rounding out the top 5. You can check out the complete UK top 20 game charts list for the week ending August 27th, 2016.
