It appears development for Resident Evil 7 is going quite well as Capcom has already made 65 percent of it. This is an indication that the game should meet its original release date and won’t need to be delayed.
Famitsu had a chance to talk to Resident Evil 7’s director (Nakanish Koushi) and producer (Kawada Masachika). During the end of the interview, they admit that the game is 65 percent complete already. It was also mentioned that development is progressing smoothly so there shouldn’t be any problems from this point onward.
It is an exciting time to be a Resident Evil fan as the series is now 20 years old. The first game came out in 1996 and scared the pants off of console owners at the time. The series continued to be popular until things started to change after the release of Resident Evil 4.
Resident Evil 5 was okay, but Resident Evil 6 and spin-off Operation Raccoon City left many people complaining. Things are starting to be on the right track now as Resident Evil 7 is going back to the series’ horror roots. Not to mention the game will be entirely playable on PlayStation VR. The game is out on January 24th, 2017.
