Bandai Namco has announced the release dates for the closed and open betas that will be held for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 later this year.
Since the announcement was made at TGS 2016, the dates are specific to Japan. However, the beta is available to people worldwide. Bandai Namco notes that the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 beta is only available for PS4 owners. It doesn’t look like Xbox One and PC owners will be able to join in on the fun.
As announced on the official Bandai Namco Twitter page, the closed beta starts first on October 8th at 17:00 JST and runs until October 10th at 17:00 JST. The closed beta is only available for some people, so don’t get your hopes up if you aren’t invited.
The open beta is then starting on October 14th at 17:00 JST and then ends on October 17th at 17:00 JST. The open beta should be available for people to download via the PlayStation Store.
If you take part in the open beta, you will get a special item usable in the full game. A tournament is also being held during the the open beta period.
We will give you more info about local times and details as they become available to us. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is released on October 25th, 2016.
