Dragon’s Dogma Online may not have a western release, but fans are still eagerly awaiting the release of the game and now they have a date for Japan. Along with that fans are also treated to an interesting video that compares the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions graphically.
Dragon’s Dogma Online will be releasing in Japan on August 31st, 2015 for both PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC. Keep in mind it is a free-to-play game that serves as a sequel to Dragon’s Dogma & the re-release, Dark Arisen. The appeal is not only the new story that will be included in Dragon’s Dogma Online, but the cross-platform play that will be available at launch which is great and hopefully will one day be able to make its way west.
Capcom has also released a video that compares the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of Dragon’s Dogma Online graphically. Check it out below to also get a glimpse at some gameplay and a few boss fights.
Graphically, the PlayStation 4 version is superior as many would expect. The textures look much deeper and defined in the PlayStation 4 version. It also seems a lot more is able to fit on screen as far as NPCs, trees, etc. Fans of the game will be happy to know that the game will also be having a closed beta before its release running from July 7th to July 15th.
Dragon’s Dogma Online is set to release in Japan for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC on August 31st, 2015. Still waiting on that western release though, hopefully we will hear something during E3 2015.
