The voice of Cloud from Final Fantasy VII has confirmed that he will be starting work on Kingdom Hearts 3 very soon.
Steve Burton (who has voiced Cloud in many games) answered a fan’s question via Twitter if he will be working on Kingdom Hearts 3 anytime soon. He answered with: “Doing something in a few weeks! I’ll let you know. :)”
His response sounds like that he will be working on the third Kingdom Hearts video game very soon. That, or he will be in the studio again to voice Cloud in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. For all we know, he could actually be working on both games in the next few weeks.
We do know that voice acting has started for Kingdom Hearts 3. Goofy’s voice actor, Bill Farmer, confirmed recently that he has been working on the game for many periods over several years.
It’s unlikely the game will be out soon as RPGs take a long time to be developed. Not to mention Final Fantasy XV will be out in 2016 so KH3 might release in 2017 at the earliest.
The game was announced back at E3 2013 and Square Enix has steadily revealed gameplay footage since then. The game looks cool so far, although the long wait has been very tough for eager fans.
