Both FIFA 16 and PES 2016 released new screenshots showcasing Neymar Jr.
As you can see above, this is a new screenshot of Neymar Jr. in FIFA 16. He’s posing with Barcelona. EA Sports released this new screenshot to celebrate the team’s recent win at the UEFA Champions League.
Next up, we have Neymar Jr. as he appears in PES 2016. He’s the cover star for the new PES game. Konami is going all out this year to make PES as strong as it can be.
Comparing the two screenshots of FIFA 16 and PES 2016, I have to say PES 2016 has the edge in this round. Neymar Jr looks cleaner and more vibrant. The graphics in FIFA 16 don’t look as bright.
PES 2016 has a slight graphical edge as it’s using the FOX Engine. This is the same graphics engine that powers Metal Gear Solid V. EA Sports is just using its Ignite game engine for FIFA 16.
Obviously, graphics aren’t everything when it comes to video games. In more recent years, fans have preferred FIFA over the PES series. Also, FIFA games usually outsell PES by a large margin.
PES 2016 could make some strides over FIFA 16 as it still has the lucrative UEFA license. FIFA on the other hand have added women for the very first time.
