Soccer fans that haven’t checked out the latest iteration of FIFA are in for a treat this weekend, as EA has announced that FIFA 17 will be free to play this weekend. The promotion is for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game, which gives you access to the majority of the game on both platforms.
However, there will be some restrictions that you need to keep in mind. First of all, if you played the game through EA Access on Xbox One previously then you are ineligible for this promotion. Also, you will only have limited access to the game’s The Journey mode, but every other mode will be unrestricted.
As for when this free period starts and ends, it kicks off on Thursday, November 24th at 1pm ET and concludes at 2:59am ET on Sunday, November 27th. If you decide to purchase the full game then all of your progress from the trial version will carry over.
EA specified that you will have a limit of 10 hours when you play on Xbox One, though they did not specify whether or not the same limitations would apply to the PlayStation 4 version.
