Fry’s Electronics Now Cancelling Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL Pre-Orders

Users have now noticed that Fry’s Electronics is cancelling pre-orders for the Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL console.

A NeoGAF user pre-ordered a Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL console earlier this month. However, the user has now received an email from Fry’s Electronics informing him that the pre-order has now been cancelled.

The email said this:

“We regret to inform you that we have had to cancel your recent
pre-order for the Nintendo 3DS XL Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask
Limited Edition. The viral popularity of this product exceeded the
quantities made available to Fry’s by the manufacturer. As a
result, we are unable to fulfill all of the pre-orders received. If
Nintendo decides to increase our allocation for this limited edition
product, we will contact you to give you the opportunity to purchase
this product.”

Another user confirmed this by uploading an image on Dropbox. The order page clearly shows that the Majora’s Mask 3DS New XL console has now been cancelled. Both users only ordered one console, so that must be very disappointing for them.

Best Buy also had the same problem overestimating the numbers of Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL consoles that they would be receiving. They had to cancel numerous orders to customers too.
