It looks like Square Enix is asking for extra help in order to finish off development for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Kyohei Suzuki is now going to be working on the title as a game director.

As reported by Japanese website (Inside-Games), last month the Human Academy held a tour for students to see the Square Enix headquarters. During the tour, Kyohei Suzuki held a roundtable with the students where he explained his position in the company.

The interesting part is that Mr Suzuki admitted during the roundtable that he is now working on the Final Fantasy 7 Remake as a game director. If you don’t know his name, you might be familiar with some of the previous work he has done.

Suzuki is a part of Square Enix’s Business Division 4 and he was responsible for working on Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Kingdom Hearts Re: Code. The team is also responsible for the Dissidia Final Fantasy video games on PSP and even Final Fantasy All The Bravest.

Tetsuya Nomura is still involved with the game, but it seems like Square Enix is getting extra help since Nomura is also involved with Kingdom Hearts 3.

Square Enix outsourced development for Final Fantasy 15 to many other people and this worked out in the end. The game was eventually released earlier this year and it has received favorable reviews from fans and critics.

The Final Fantasy 7 Remake is going to be a big task since it will be released in multiple parts. Many people are hoping the first part of the game will be out in 2017 to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the original game on PSOne. We still don’t know how large the parts will be, but Square Enix is promising that it will still be pretty big.
