Many people were disappointed with the ending in Mass Effect 3. This could change with the upcoming release of Mass Effect: Andromeda.
A fan on Twitter wanted to know if Mass Effect: Andromeda would have a more “happier ending“. After all, the ending for Mass Effect 3 left a sour taste to many players.
Senior Development Director for Mass Effect: Andromeda, Chris Wynn, replied to the tweet saying “we will do what we can!“.
Wynn didn’t really confirm or deny the game will have a happier ending, but it’s good to know BioWare is working hard to make the ending a little more satisfying.
Mass Effect 3’s ending was painful mainly because it was also the finale for the original trilogy of games. Many people invested a lot of time playing the franchise since 2007, and weren’t satisfied with its conclusion in 2012.
BioWare let the fans know Mass Effect 3 would be the final game starring Commander Shepard, so a fourth game wouldn’t have been able to fix things so to speak.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is not a sequel as it is set in a different galaxy with all new characters. Hopefully the game has a more satisfying end. Although it would be painful if the game ends in a cliffhanger so fans have to buy the next game…
Hopefully Wynn and BioWare have listened to the fans so the new game will have an ending everyone can enjoy.
