Sony has released update patch 1.02 for MLB The Show 16. The new patch should address some of the issues that the game has been receiving since launch.
The patch notes were revealed via the official forums of the game. Sony notes that it will continue to look out for more bugs and issues in the future. They won’t be abandoning the game until everything should be smooth.
The update patch 1.02 notes for MLB The Show 16 are: Online gameplay softlock addressed: the game will no longer get into a pickoff state when a pitch is in flight or when a ball is in play
Fixed an issue where the game would soft lock (freeze) while a user on offense calls a timeout, as a user on defense attempts to pick off a runner on 1st.
Fixed an issue where the game would soft lock (freeze) when attempting to access Pitcher Attributes during an at bat with the score bar display option turned off
Accounts in PS EU territories should now be able to purchase Stubs within game, Extensive work has been done to address the “Challenge failed” issue on PS4.
MLB The Show 16 is available now for the PS4 and PS3 consoles. This year’s game won’t be released for the PS Vita. We will alert you when other update patches are released in the future.
