Mortal Kombat X has been out less than a week and in that time the PC version has had its fair share of issues, specifically involving the installation. So far the console versions of the game have been rather smooth, including even the online play. However, there is one issue that has been cropping up for some with the PlayStation 4 that has made Mortal Kombat X unplayable. For those that have had this issue and don’t want to wait for a patch, one rather simple workaround has been discovered that you can try.

While NetherRealm is working on a patch to get around this issue for those affected, WB Games’ Support page has provided the following short-term fix for your problem.

  • 1. Sign out of PSN by going to Home Menu > Settings > PlayStation Network/Account Management > Sign Out
  • 2. Launch Mortal Kombat X
  • 3. After reaching the main menu of Mortal Kombat X, sign back into PSN by going to Home Menu > Settings > PlayStation Network/Account Management > Sign In

It is said this workaround is something that should allow those affected to play the game while the developers can put together a more permanent solution to the problem. Based on how fast their response time is, a patch is bound to come soon, but at least you can still play in the meantime.
