New Xbox One August Update Starts Rolling Out Today; Features Include Background Music And More

Microsoft has started to roll out the new August Xbox One update. This new update includes background music plus a lot of other features.

The Xbox support website says the update has started rolling out as of July 29th, 2016. If the update is not available for you yet, it should be coming to you within the next day or two. A brief overview of what it includes can be seen below.

New in the August update: My games & apps are now on the top of the Home screen, new sorting options have been added, and Ready to install items have been moved to their own area. Cortana has taken over voice commands on Xbox One. You can now play music in the background and play games with no snapping needed. The Store now shows everything on one screen. You can also find your Facebook friends on Xbox Live
