Ever since September, Hello Games went dark. No more patches were released for No Man’s Sky and their social media accounts were silent. That is until today.
Hello Games posted an announcement on the No Man’s Sky website that a new patch will be arriving this week. They are calling this new patch the “Foundation Update”. It says this lays the foundation for base building and more things to come in the future.
Patch notes are not available yet, but they are coming soon. They then recapped what has been happening in the past few weeks. They stated that that last update (version 1.09) came out back on September 24th.
According to Hello Games, the small team has been working hard for nine weeks on patch 1.10 which is the Foundation Update. They said it’s not the biggest update, but it will be the start of something that will be a “long journey”.
They didn’t address any specific feedback, but just said they welcome any type of positive and negative response. Even though they have been quiet for several weeks, they said they have been listening to everyone and have been working hard to make No Man’s Sky a better game. It will be interesting to see if the game will eventually have the features that were advertised…
