Off-screen Video Of Final Fantasy 15’s PlayStation VR Gameplay Emerges

The Japan Expo event in France is underway and attendees had a chance to play the PlayStation VR portion of Final Fantasy 15. The off-screen footage shows what the gameplay is like.

Bear in mind, the full game of Final Fantasy 15 is not playable using the PlayStation VR device. The VR section is a special optional mode in the game where you get to play as Prompto. You will see the game world through his eyes.

In the demo that was played at the Japan Expo, people assume the role of Prompto as he shoots his gun at the Behemoth. The Behemoth is the same boss that fans had to face when the demo came out last year.

Looking at the footage that has been shared today, it looks like this VR experience makes the game more like a light-gun title. You use the PlayStation Move trigger to shoot as you look around with the headset in first-person.

It adds a new layer of gameplay to the game, although it won’t be a mode that will be likable for everyone. It’s a nice alternative if you want to try out something new. You can check out the small piece of footage below.
